The Center for Quantum Nanoscience (QNS) is a world leading research center in the area of quantum nanoscience. The center is part of the Institute for Basic Science and is hosted at Ewha Womans University.
We are looking for a new Solutions Team Leader reporting to the Director of Operations. The Solutions Team Leader oversees the team handling: budget management, reporting, purchasing, travel, and facilities. This person should help QNS to achieve its goals while working within the relevant regulations of Ewha and IBS along with all relevant laws, such as the Innovation Act.
QNS is an English-language workplace while all relevant documents and professional conversations with Ewha and IBS are in Korean. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have mastery of Korean and professional competency in English.

- Team management for a well-functioning and reliable team
- Excellent communication and coordination with others inside and outside of QNS
- Reporting to Ewha, IBS, and government
- Staying up to date on revisions and additions to all relevant regulations
- Helping other team members and directors to find ways to achieve goals within regulations and laws
- Hiring and training support staff
- Identify, develop, and fine tune processes to increase efficiency
- Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience dealing with Korean research fund management
- Experience dealing with University Research Office a plus
- Knowledge of research center operations
- International experience a plus
- Employment Condition:
1) Contract period: 1-Year (yearly renewable position)
2) Salary: Based on our internal salary regulation; depends on your experience years
