Ewha Holds “RUPP-Ewha Golden Bell Challenge” for Cambodian university students

The Korean Studies Department of the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) at Ewha successfully organized the quiz event titled “RUPP-Ewha Golden Bell Challenge” held on October 31st at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) in Cambodia for 150 RUPP students majoring in Korean.
At this event, the RUPP students had to answer not only Korean language-related questions but also various questions about Korean history, culture, and society. During the intermission, a group of RUPP students majoring in Korean language danced and performed plays, making the event more enjoyable.
Ewha Womans University has been selected as a partner for the “Program for Fostering and Supporting Leading Universities in International Cooperation” run by the Ministry of Education and Science Technology (MEST), and it has participated in the Official Development Assistance (ODA) educational project for RUPP. To support this project, Ewha professors from various departments including the Graduate School of Social Welfare, the Graduate School of International Studies, Environmental Science & Engineering, and Eco Science are working together to expand ODA in Cambodia to reach higher basic education levels, as well planning to build the Cambodia Development Research Institution.
