Cutting-Edge Lecturing System Established Through the Educational Environment Improvement Project
The Ewha Campus has been upgraded for the new semester through the second stage of the “Educational Environment Improvement Project.” A state-of-the-art system has been built in lecture rooms, and facilities have been made more convenient.
In the “smart lecture room” there is an electronic lectern where a lecturer can easily upload material on the whiteboard by touching the screen on the podium, and students can check multimedia material in real time, making it easy for them to communicate with the instructor. In the “Type A smart lecture room” equipped with a recording system that automatically detects the speaker, the instructor can easily make video files of the lecture. In the “Type B smart lecture room,” in which a video conference system has been built, it is possible to provide video lectures to those who are outside the school and access lectures from instructors who are not at school in real time. The recorded video is going to be shared and posted on “Virtual Ewha,” an online gateway through which intellectual property of Ewha Womans University communicates with the world.
Ewha’s Office of University Planning and Coordination has been running the “Educational Environment Improvement Project” to upgrade the quality of Ewha’s educational environment and establish a world-class educational system, and the project is scheduled to be carried out in three stages.
