Ewha Entrusted by the Government to Operate National Institute for Supporting Women in Science & Technology
Ewha has been designated by the government to operate National Institute for Supporting Women in Science & Technology(NIS-WIST).
NIS-WIST is a project established by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Commencing in 2011, it will be placing diverse efforts to efficiently support women in Science and Technology in various stages of their career with the budget size of six billion won a year.
In addition, NIS-WIST is planning to integrate various government efforts for fostering women in Science and Technology to build a support system throughout the entire professional life-cycle.
Ewha will establish the NIS-WIST at Ewha-Samsung Education Cultural Center and operate the institute for four years. The NIS-WIST will develop to become an integrated, systemized and effective institute based on its foundation built on open communication.
