Ewha Ranks Top for Teacher-Training

Ewha Womans University ranked topfor its teacher-training department and proved itself to be the best teacher-training institution among universities in Seoul.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology announced a list of 45 universities on Friday, August 27, after grading their teacher colleges into three groups, according to the ratio of full-time professors, post-graduation employment rate and research achievements. The Ministry has announced that there will be incentives and sanctions accordingly.
The College of Education has recorded remarkable performance retaining the top rank for three consecutive terms.
The grading of teacher colleges was initiated to enhance the level of teaching quality and the first term was from 1998 to 2002, the second term from 2003 to 2009, and the third term was initiated 2010.
In addition, Ewha Graduate School of Education is the only master's program to have received the A degree. Ewha's result is superior considering that only one university received B degree, 14 received C, and 24 received D among the universities that were evaluated.
