Zhou Qifeng, the Peking University president visited Ewha on May 8th.
President Zhou Qifeng said, "One of the most important roles of a university is to foster leaders armed with global minds through international exchanges. Peking University will cooperate with Ewha to foster more leaders who will understand Korea and China better through learning environments provided by exchanges and contribute to the relationship between the two countries."
| Peking University and Ewha Womans University agreed to hold the 'Peking University Day' at Ewha this fall. The 'Peking University Day' in Ewha is in return for Peking University's designation of 'Ewha Womans University Day' in Peking University in 2007. Ewha was the first Korean university to have its university day at Peking University. Peking University and Ewha Womans University share a tradition of partnership since 1993. Ewha started an exchange program with Peking University and has expanded its size. In 2007, Peking University hosted 'Ewha Womans University Day' and held academic and cultural events to strengthen its relationship with Ewha. In 2008, 'EPTeCSOL(Ewha, Peking, Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language)' course was established in Ewha. In addition, Peking University is a major partner university of 'Ewha in Beijing', the global campus network project of Ewha. |
