Hyung-Lae Kim Professor Emeritus

Dr Hyung-Lae Kim is a professor of the Department of Biochemistry, School of Medicine. His reseach field is the medical genomics, and he has experineces in the establishment of strategy and plannning for long-term biomedical reseach. He got the MD and PhD degrees in Seoul National University. His reseach has focused on the genetic and epidemiological understanding of obesity and common disease, and the development of intervention tools to control such disease. He was the director Director:Ewha Global Challenge of Medicine, BK21 Korea Program, Ministry of Education, in 2006. He seved as a government officer, as Director General of Korea National Institute of Heath, Ministry of Health and Welfare until 2010. In academic filed, he was Co-president,: Korean HapMap Consortium, the President of Korean Genome Organization, and the President of Korean Society of Biochemstry and Molocular Biology, at 2011 and 2013, respectively. He published more than 90 peer reviewed sciectific papers.
