정우진 교수는 생명과학전공/분자생명과학부 소속 교수로 세포신호전달의 레독스 조절분야 연구의 전문가다. 한국과학기술원 생명과학과에서 박사학위를 받았으며, 미국 국립보건원 (NIH)에서 박사후 연구원을 마치고 2004년 부임하였다. 일반생물학, 생화학, 고급생화학, 생화학실험이론 등을 강의하며, 세포생화학 연구실을 운영하고 있다. 생명현상 및 암, 골질환 등의 레독스 조절기전과 이를 바탕으로 한 치료제 개발 연구를 진행하고 있고, 부임이후 현재까지 총 67편의 SCI 국제학술지 논문을 발표하였고, 11편의 특허를 출원/등록 하였다.
