Soobin Choi isan Assistant Professor in the Division of Communication & Media at Ewha Womans University. Her research broadly focuses on environmental communication, science communication, and environmental psychology. She mainly studies how individuals make sense of climate change information in the media, and the psychological processes through which communication can increase civic engagement related to climate change. She also examines evidence-based approaches to communicating science in a way that meaningfully connects the public across different ideological or value-based fault lines, developing real-world strategies that can increase public engagement with science. Prior to joining Ewha, she was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Morgridge Institute for Research. She received her Ph.D. at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in the Department of Communication and Media.
