박민정 교수는 경제학전공 소속 교수로 2007년 미국 스탠퍼드대학교에서 박사학위를 받았다. 이화여대에 오기 전 University of Minnesota,Twin Cities 의 경제학과 조교수 (2007.07-2010.05)와 University of California, Berkeley 의 경영대학 마케팅분야 조교수 (2010.07-2017.06) 로 근무하였다. 실증분석을 위주로 한 산업조직론을 주전공으로 하고 있으며, <Quantitative Economics> <Journal of Banking & Finance> <Journal of Industrial Economics> 등 SSCI 해외유수저널에 다수의 논문을 발표하였다.
