  Dr. Hyun Seok Park joined the Department of Computer Engineering at Ewha Womans University in December 2002, bringing a wealth of research experience. Since arriving at Ewha, Dr. Park has secured over $2 million in research funding over the next three years. Professor Park's research has been sponsored by DARPA (the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science), MIC (Ministry of Information and Communication), and MOHW (Ministry of Health and Welfare).  Dr. Park received his bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering at Seoul National University, his master’s in computer engineering at the University of Pennsylvania in 1994, and his Ph.D. in computer science at the University of Cambridge, England, in 1997. Dr. Park’s research interests are primarily in the area of bioinformatics, natural language processing, and cognitive science.
