Prof. Hyunbo Shim (Department of Life Science) is an expert in antibody engineering. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry from Seoul National University, and Ph.D. degree in bioorganic chemistry from Texas A&M university. In the Scripps Research Institute and XOMA Ltd., he performed research in antibody engineering. Currently his research interest includes the development of platform technologies for antibody engineering and the development of antibodies for therapeutic applications. The human antibody library technology from his laboratory has been licenced out to multiple pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
