Professor Baehyun Min is currently a professor in the Department of Climate and Energy Systems Engineering, College of Engineering, at Ewha Womans University. He received his B.S. in Engineering in 2005, M.S. in Engineering in 2007, and Ph.D. in Engineering in 2013 from Seoul National University. From January 2014 to February 2017, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin. He served as an Assistant Professor from March 2017 to February 2021 and as an Associate Professor from March 2021 to February 2026. His main research areas include petroleum engineering, carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), climate risk analysis, and decision-making optimization.
He is a regular member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the American Geophysical Union (AGU), and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). He is also a lifetime member of the International Association for Mathematical Geosciences (IAMG), the Korean Society of Mineral and Energy Resources Engineers (KSMER), where he serves as Executive Director for General Affairs, and the Korean Society of Petroleum Engineers (KSPE), where he serves as Editor-in-Chief.
