Prof. Chang-Hoi Ho studies atmospheric science, including the analysis of climate variability and change using observational data, and climate modeling. He has published many papers in the areas of analysis and prediction of tropical cyclone activity over East Asia, the western North Pacific, and the North Atlantic, analysis and prediction of air pollutants in Korea, and the interactions between climate and phenology.
He received his Ph. D. from Seoul National University in 1994 and was a postdoctoral researcher at NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center in the United States until 1997. He was a professor at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Seoul National University from 1998 to 2023 and moved to Ewha Womans University in 2024.
