Semiconductor Engineering / Graduate Program in System Health and Engineering / Electronic & Electrical Engineering
Jusung Kim (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, in 2011. In 2008, he was an Analog IC Design Engineer with Texas Instruments, Dallas, TX, where he designed an RF front-end for a multi-standard analog and digital TV silicon tuners. From 2011 to 2015, he was with Qualcomm Technologies Inc., San Diego, CA, where he designed RFIC products for 2G-4G+ cellular systems. From 2015 to 2025, he was with the Department of Electronics Engineering, Hanbat National University, as a Faculty Member. He was also the Founding Member and the Head of Intelligent Nano Semiconductor Engineering Department during the time. In March 2025, he joined the Faculty at the Division of Electronic and Semiconductor Engineering, Ewha Womans University, South Korea, where he is currently a Professor at the Division of Electronic and Semiconductor Engineering, where he leads the Signal Processing on Analog and Radio-Frequency Circuits (SPARC) Laboratory. His research interests include broadband wireless links in RF and millimeter-wave frequency regime, analysis on device noise and non-linearity, design and fabrication of low power integrated circuits and systems for communication, analog signal processing, and quantum sensing. Dr. Kim served as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) for IEEE International Conference on Latin America Symposium on Circuits and Systems (LASCAS) and IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits, and Systems (ICECS). He is a member of the Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) and ASPTC TC. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Analog and Signal Processing Technical Committee (ASPTC). He served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON CIRCUITS AND SYSTEMS—II: EXPRESS BRIEFS from 2014 to 2015 and serves/served as the Guest Editor for several IEEE journal special issues. He is currently serving as the Secretary for IEEE CASS Daejeon Chapter and the Treasurer of SSCS Seoul Chapter.
