Kong-Joo Lee is a first generation of woman scientists in Korea. She got BA in Ewha, MS in KAIST and Ph.D in Stanford University. Her research field is the study of cancer metastasis, angiogenesis, stress response combining with proteomics and systems biology. She published over 100 papers in esteemed journals. Based on her carrier, she was editorial board member in Mol Cell Proteomics and she contribute the promotion of women scientists in Koreas as a president of KWSE and worldwide as a president of INWES (International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists).
