Professor Sungho Kim is a researcher specializing in nanoelectronic semiconductor device physics and energy-efficient intelligent hardware. His research aims to establish new design paradigms for next-generation artificial intelligence hardware by developing physics-grounded models that directly connect microscopic device-level phenomena to circuit- and system-level computational functionality.
His research integrates quantitative modeling grounded in experimental data with circuit-level simulations to establish multiscale links spanning device physics, circuit operation, and system-level functionality. Through this approach, his work contributes to physics-driven hardware design for next-generation AI accelerators, cryogenic CMOS technologies for quantum computing interfaces, and energy-efficient intelligent systems.
