Professor Jong Ran Lee, a professor in the Department of Life Science is an expert in the research field of immunology and cell signaling. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and has been studying immune cell differentiation, activation, and function. She has identified several novel proteins in the process of studying mechanisms for surface receptor-mediated sigal transduction in immune cells. She has focused on finding new roles of these proteins in relation to immune diseases and has published many papers in the prestigious international scientific journals.
