Daekee Lee
Professor
Life Sciences/Life Sciences
Lee, Daekee is a professor at the Graduate School of Life Sciences/Biology and is conducting research on the function of genes in the carcinogenesis. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Molecular Biology at Seoul National University, and as a postdoctoral researcher and full-time researcher at Vanderbilt Medical School and University of North Carolina in the United States, conducting research in the field of cancer biology using mouse genetics. Since 2005, he has been examining the effects of anticancer target genes on cell proliferation and death at Ewha Womans University. He also seeks to discover new genes affecting colon cancer proliferation and metastasis, and discover new target therapeutic genes by making mouse models using CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technology and discovering the functions and mechanisms of new genes through cell-level studies.
