Dr. Sujung Yoon is professor of the Ewha Brain Institute and an affiliate professor at the Scranton College in Brain & Cognitive Sciences at Ewha Womans University. She served as a professor at the Department of Psychiatry at the Catholic University of Korea College of Medicine, where she received an M.D. and a Ph.D. Professor Yoon has been actively pursuing research on understanding neuroscientific mechanisms of the influence of stress on the human brain and various psychiatric disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder and substance use disorder through the state-of-the art multimodal brain imaging techniques, such as structural, functional, and chemical brain imaging, and deep learning. A recognized distinguished researcher in brain sciences, psychiatry, and neuroimaging, Dr. Yoon has published more than 100 papers on prominent international academic journals, including American Journal of Psychiatry, JAMA Psychiatry, Nature Communications, Biological Psychiatry, and Neuropsychopharmacology.
