Dr. Daehyun Wee acquired his M.S. and Sc.D. degrees from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and worked for the Bosch Research and Technology Center North America, before joining the Department of Environmental Science & Engineering at Ewha Womans University as a faculty member. His main research topics are the development and analysis of novel energy conversion technologies and the investigation of their interaction with the natural environment. His research results have been published in numerous international journals including Energy Conversion and Management, Journal of Computational Physics, Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Journal of Power Sources, Physical Review B, Physics of Fluids, Proceedings of the Combustion Institute, and SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing. He translated Andreas Malm's 《Fossil Capital: The Rise of Steam Power and the Roots of Global Warming》 into Korean: Andreas Malm (2023). 《화석 자본: 증기력의 발흥과 지구온난화의 기원》 (위대현 옮김). 두번째테제.
