Professor Jongbum Kwon obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and did his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School. Since appointed as a faculty at Ewha in 2001, his research interest has been mainly focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms governing the genome stability and tumorigenesis. He has published many papers on this topic in high impact SCI journals. He has served as a chief of the Epigenetic and Cell Cycle Sections of the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology. He is currently an Editorial Board Member of Molecules and Cells and an Advisory Panel Member of the Biochemical Journal (UK).
