기후에너지시스템공학전공 이상훈 교수는 KAIST 기계공학과에서 학사, 석사, 박사 학위를 취득하였고, 한국에너지기술연구원에서 선임급 연구원, 미국 National Renewable Energy Lab(NREL)에서 박사후 연구원으로 재직하였다. 연구 관심분야는 전주기 수소에너지 기술로서, 수소생산을 위한 수전해, 수소저장을 위한 액상유기물 수소저장 (LOHC), 수소저장합금, 암모니아 기술, 전력생산을 위한 연료전지의 소재/전극 핵심 원천기술, CFD/FEM을 활용한 스택설계, 공정모사를 통한 수소 및 신에너지시스템 설계, 에너지 효율/경제성 분석, 인공지능(AI) 기반 전력망 운영 시뮬레이션 등이 있다.
