Dr. Lee is a public health researcher whose work focuses on tobacco use, cognitive decline/dementia, policy evaluation, and health promotion among socioeconomically marginalized populations. Her research encompasses (a) assessing social determinants of cognitive decline/dementia in vulnerable populations, such as those with low socioeconomic status, (b) planning and evaluating tobacco control policies, (c) investigating socioeconomic disparities in health risk behaviors, and (d) examining the cumulative long-term effects of adolescent health risk behaviors on later-life health outcomes using a lifecourse approach. She has expertise in analyzing large longitudinal data, including health claims data, using quantitative methodologies ranging from traditional statistical techniques to innovative approaches in causal inference. She received her BPH and MA in Health Education and Management and BA in Social Welfare from Ewha Womans University. She earned her PhD in Health Behavior from the School of Public Health at Indiana University, and then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital (HMS-MGH) and Northeastern University.
