김영주 교수는 의학전문대학원 산부인과 소속 교수로 산과학 및 태아 유전학 연구의 권위자다. 이화여자대학교 대학원에서 박사학위를 받았으며, 태아프로그래밍, 조산관련 유전자 발굴 등에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 모체태아의학회 조산연구위원회 회장으로 활동하고 있으며, WHO 산하 PREBIC 회원으로 활동하고 있다. 현재까지 총 70여편의 논문을 <Diabetes Care> 등 SCI급 국제학술지에 발표했다. 저서로는 『산과학』(군자출판사), 『하버드 의대에서 제안하는 임신부의 건강한 식이와 영양관리』(조윤커뮤니케이션) 등이 있다.
