설혜윤 교수는 사범대학 언어병리학과 소속 교수로 University of Washington에서 언어청각학부를 졸업하고 University of Wisconsin-Madison에서 청각학 박사학위를 취득하였다. 한국 청각사, 청능사 자격증을 포함하여 미국 자격증인 American Speech-Language Hearing Association의 CCC-A와 American Academy of Audiology(AAA)의 Fellowship of AAA도 보유하고 있으며, Medical College of Wisconsin, 메이요 클리닉(Mayo Clinic)등에서 성인과 아동의 청각검사부터 청각재활까지 풍부한 임상경력 또한 보유하고 있다. 다수의 국제저널에 논문을 발표하고 있으며, 국책 및 민간과제, 학술대회 발표 및 수상, 특허 출원 등 다양한 학술활동을 진행하고 있다. 한국언어청각임상학회 대외교류위원, 대한청각학회 학술위원을 역임하며 교외활동도 활발히 참여하고 있다.
