이상혁 교수는 생명과학전공/바이오정보학협동과정 소속 교수로 생명정보학 및 유전체학 분야의 연구를 수행하고 있다. 한국생물정보시스템생물학회 회장, 국가생명연구자원정보센터의 센터장, 국가과학기술위원회 생명보건전문위원 등을 역임하였으며, <Nature Genetics>를 비롯한 최상급 전문 학술지에 다수의 논문을 발표하였다. 현재 이화시스템생물학연구소 소장, 바이오정보학협동과정 주임교수이며, 국제염기서열공유자문위원으로 활동하고 있다.
