서은경(徐銀景) 교수

이화여자대학교 약학대학 약학부 서은경 교수는 생약학 및 천연물화학 분야의 연구 전문가이다. 이화여대 약대에서 학사(1988)와 석사(1990) 학위를 받고 약사면허를 취득한 뒤, 미국 시카고 일리노이대 대학원에서 A. Douglas Kinghorn 교수의 지도로 생약학 박사학위를 받았다. 이후 미국 노스캐롤라이나 RTI 연구소(Dr. Wall & Dr. Wani 연구실)에서 박사후연구원 및 전임연구원으로 근무했으며, 2000년 9월 이화여대 교수로 부임했다. 주요 연구 분야는 천연물 유래 물질 분리, 분자구조 분석, 천연물 의약품 개발이다. 식품의약품안전처 한약재 품질 표준화 연구사업 등의 연구책임자를 역임했고, 2018년 한국생약학회 회장, 2019년부터 대한약학회 천연물분과회장으로 활동했다. 약학대학 학부장·학과장 및 세포신호전달계바이오의약연구센터장을 지내며 학내 행정에도 기여했다. 현재까지 220여 편의 SCI 논문 발표와 20여 개의 특허 등록을 마쳤으며, 대한약학회 약학회지 편집장(Editor-in-Chief)으로 활동 중이다. 2025년에는 스탠포드대 발표 '세계 상위 2% 과학자'에 이름을 올리며 글로벌 연구 성과를 입증했다.
