김진우 교수(DDS, MSD, PhD, FIBCSOMS)는 이화여자대학교 의과대학 구강악안면외과 교수이자 이화 치의학 AI·바이오 글로벌 혁신 연구소장이다. 골대사학과 구강악안면외과의 접점에서 활동하는 임상의-중개연구자로서, 골흡수억제제 관련 악골괴사(MRONJ) 및 표적단백질분해(TPD) 기반 골재생 연구의 대가이다. 2025년 5개 의과 및 치과 학회의 MRONJ 임상 가이드라인 개정을 주도하였다. 교원창업기업 DentX Biomed의 창업자 겸 대표이사로서 골재생용 first-in-class MDM2 PROTAC을 개발 중이다. 110여편의 SCI 논문을 발표하였고, 한국과학기술한림원 의약학부 차세대 회원이며 대한치과의사협회 및 대한구강악안면외과학회의 선도연구자상·신진연구자상, 대한골다공증학회 및 대한골대사학회의 학회연구상·젊은연구자상, European Calcified Tissue Society의 West-meets-East Award 등 다수의 학술상을 수상하였다. Maxillofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (E-SCIE)의 Editor이며, IADR, ASBMR, ECTS, EACMFS, 대한구강악안면외과학회, 대한악안면성형재건외과학회 등 에서 활동하고 있다. Jin-Woo Kim, DDS, MSD, PhD, FIBCSOMS, is Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Ewha Womans University School of Medicine and Director of the Ewha Institute for Global Innovation in Dental AI and Biotechnology. A clinician-translational researcher working at the interface of bone metabolism and oral & maxillofacial surgery, he is a leading authority on medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) and on targeted protein degradation (TPD)–based bone regeneration. He led Korea's first unified clinical guidelines for MRONJ (2025). As founder and CEO of DentX Biomed, an Ewha faculty startup, he is developing a first-in-class MDM2 PROTAC for bone regeneration. He has authored over 110 peer-reviewed papers and is a member of the Young Korean Academy of Science and Technology. His honors include the Distinguished and Young Investigator Awards from the Korean Dental Association and the Korean Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons; the Society Research and Young Investigator Awards from the Korean Society for Bone and Mineral Research and the Korean Society of Osteoporosis; and the West-meets-East Award from the European Calcified Tissue Society. He serves as an Editor of Maxillofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ESCI) and is active in IADR, ASBMR, ECTS, EACMFS, KAOMS, and the Korean Association of Maxillofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
