이경림 교수는 1995년부터 본교 약대 교수로 부임하여, 현재 약학대학 학장, 임상보건과학대학원장, PHC (Pharmacy Healthcare Communication) 센터 소장을 거쳐 현재 CK-II 사업단장으로 재직 중이다. 이교수는 세포생리학 분야 연구의 권위자로 미국 Tufts 대학에서 1992년 세포생리학 전공으로 박사학위를 받았으며, 미국 Harvard 대학 분자세포생물학 분야에서 박사후연구원을 거쳤다. 현재 TCTP (translationally controlled tumor protein) 단백질이 알레르기, 고혈압, 암 등의 질환을 유발하는 병태생리학적 기전에 대한 연구를 중점적으로 수행하고 있다. 주요 논문은 <Biomaterials>, <Oncogene>, <Journal of Controlled Release> 등 SCI 국제학술지에 발표하였으며 다수의 국제 특허를 등록하였다. 그간 학술단체 및 여성과학단체에서 회장, 부회장, 이사 등의 직책을 맡아 활동하였으며 국제저널 <Scientific Reports>, <ISRN Molecular Biology>의 편집위원으로 활동 중에 있다.
