원용진 프로필 사진 
원용진 교수는 생명과학전공/에코과학부/에코 크리에이티브 협동과정 소속 교수로 야생 생물과 이들의 자연사를 연구하는 집단유전학과 진화생물학 분야의 전문가다. 미국 럿거스대 생태학과 진화학 대학원 프로그램에서 박사학위를 받았으며, 심해 열수구 생물, 해양 무척추동물, 민물어류 등에 대한 진화생물학 연구를 진행하며 이 분야에서 다수의 논문을 발표했다. 한국생태학회 총무로 봉사했으며, 생태학회 동물분류학회 그리고 통합생물학회지의 편집위원으로 활동하고 있다.
