신태훈 교수는 기계공학 전공으로 학부를, 전자공학 전공으로 박사과정을 마친 후 University of Maryland 영상의학과에서 교수로 재직하면서 융합적인 학문적 바탕 및 다학제간 연구 경험을 쌓았다. 주요 기술적 연구주제로는 머신러닝/딥러닝을 이용한 조기 정밀진단, 예후 예측 및 의료영상화질 개선, 질병 맞춤형 MRI 기법 개발 등이 있으며, 임상 테마로는 조영제를 사용하지 않는 혈관영상 (angiography), 치매진단용 뇌영상, 삼차원 심장이미징 (cardiac imaging) 등을 포함한다. 연구실 홈페이지:  https://mil.ewha.ac.kr
