안덕근(安德根) 교수

안덕근 프로필 사진 
천문학자인 안덕근 교수는 별들의 거리와 화학 조성을 바탕으로 우리 은하의 항성 종족과 은하 중심부의 별 형성 과정에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 현재까지 천문학 및 천체물리학 계열 최고권위 SCI 국제학술지(피인용지수 IF=5 이상)에 주저자 논문 20여편을 게재하였고, 이 중 4편의 논문은 각각 100회 이상 인용되었다(2021년 7월 NASA/ADS 기준). 1999년 연세대학교 천문우주학과를 졸업한 후 공군 장교로 복무하였고, 이후 미국 오하이오 주립대학 천문학과 박사과정에 입학하여 2008년 천문학 박사학위를 받았다. 2010년 본교에 부임하기 직전까지 미국 캘리포니아 공과대학 적외선자료분석센터(IPAC)에서 박사후과정 연구원으로 근무하였다. 본교 강의우수교원 선정(2021학년도 1학기).
