Dr. Lee, Jihee is a professor at Department of Physiology School of Medicine. She is a leading authority in the field of lung injury diseases and resolution of inflammation. She graduated from Ewha Womans University College of Medicine (MD) and then obtained PhD at West Virginia University School of Medicine, USA. She has made international cooperation research with National Jewish Health and National Institute Occupational and Safety Health, USA. She acted as a director of Tissue Injury Defense Research Center (TIDRC-MRC) in 2010. At present, she acts as a director of Inflammation-Cancer Microenvironment Research (ICMRC) which was re-selected as a Leading Research Center-MRC by National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) in 2020. She has received awards of 2008 and 2010 year Basic Research Best Products from Ministry of Education and Science Technology (MEST) and NRF. As major research products, she has published as a corresponding author in the top journals in the filed of respiratory system, such as American J. of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, European Respiratory J. and many other journals, including Mucosal Immunol, Sci Signaling, Cell Death & Disease, J. of Immunology, Critical Care Medicine, etc.
