Gayeon Chu, Yeonseo Lim, and Hyojin Shim Winning the Grand Prize for College Student Content Contest

The Ewha student team won the grand prize at the “8th College Student Content Contest Using Traditional Documentation Culture” organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and hosted by the Korean Studies Institute.

The Korean Studies Institute is holding a content idea contest using traditional materials to discover creative content. In the main competition for college students nationwide, Gayeon Chu (Educational Technology), Yeonseo Lim (Educational Technology), and Hyojin Shim (German Language & Literature) submitted a festival content called "Gyeongshinsuya,” which modernizes the overnight culture of the Joseon Dynasty.

The Ewha team has been preparing to participate in the contest since this March under the guidance of Professor Kyuyeon Lim of the Department of Educational Technology.

The team received excellent reviews for content that can let people heal themselves through reflection on life and death, winning the grand prize (10 million won in prize money) given by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Gayeon Chu, Yeonseo Lim, and Hyojin Shim, who met through the curriculum of the Education Technology club and participated in the contest, said, "The analytical mind and design experiences we acquired through education technology major classes helped us create more systematic and meaningful content,” adding, “We will continue to learn and work hard to become a talented educational technology major students.”
