Professor Lee Joon-sung of the Department of Architectural & Urban Systems Engineering Received a Commendation

Professor Lee Joon-sung of the Department of Architectural & Urban Systems Engineering at ELTEC College of Engineering received a commendation from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport at the 2022 “National Transportation Technology Competition” held at the Suwon Convention Center on November 10 (Thu).
The "National Transportation Technology Competition" is an event to provide a venue for corporate growth such as R&D performance enhancement and technology exchange in the field of land transportation. Professor Lee Joon-sung was selected as an outstanding researcher and received the commendation in recognition of his contribution to creating results through research and development of land and transportation. This commendation is very meaningful as it was awarded for evaluating academic and industrial contribution achievements such as papers and patents generated in the R&D project for national transportation.
Professor Lee is currently in charge of research at the Off-Site Construction (OSC)-based Apartment Production System Innovation Technology Development (total project cost of 22.6 billion won) project supported by the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement.
In order to overcome the limitations of the existing field-oriented construction production system, the OSC research team is conducting research to drive the advancement of the construction industry by actively utilizing factory production components such as Precast Concrete. In this study, large construction companies such as GS E&C, Daewoo E&C, Lotte E&C, Hyundai Engineering, and DL&C, as well as major institutions leading the domestic construction industry, such as the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology, Korea Concrete Institute, and Architectural Institute of Korea, is participating. Various element technologies, design standards, and institutional policies developed through this study are proving their achievements through demonstration projects of Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) and Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation (SH), which are public ordering institutions.
