Ms. Eun-joo Kim from Department of Biomedical Science, nominated for 2021 Yuhan Foundation Scholarship

Ms. Eun-joo Kim, enrolling in the Integrative Program at Department of Biomedical Science(advised by Professor Young-ho Ahn), was recently nominated for 2021 Yuhan Foundation Scholarship.
Yuhan Foundation was established by Dr. Ilhan New the founder of Yuhan Corporation, based on his shares of Yuhan stock and distinguished donors within the pharmaceutical field. Until today, the Yuhan Foundation has been contributing to the development of Korean Public health service and academia, by supporting public health care problems, scholarships, academic research, social welfare programs and more.
27 students were selected this year in four different departments; Medical Studies, Pharmaceutical Studies, Health Care Studies, and Health Research Studies. Ms. Kim was selected as a Medical Scholarship student for her research on ‘long non-coding RNA to diagnose lung cancer and discover prognosis markers’. She is expected to receive a scholarship of 10 million Won.
“I thank my advisor professor for always giving me warm teachings and advice, and I also thank my fellow students in the laboratory,” said Ms. Kim, as an acceptance message.
