Professor Eunae Kim from the Research Ethics Center Wins ‘2020 KIRD Best Teaching Award’

Dr. Eunae Kim the Collaboration Professor at the Research Ethics Center was recently(March 31st) recognized with her contribution to nurturing future scientists and engineers at the ‘2020 KIRD Best Teaching Award’. She was named as Best Teacher in ‘Quality of Education’ part.
Korea Institute of Human Resources Development in Science and Technology(KIRD) was established in 2007 to enhance the efficiency and productivity and R&D investment by providing education for self-development and innovation of the scientists and engineers. Moreover, KIRD rewards professors who contributed to the development of Science and Technology field education.
Through its fair evaluation process, KIRD selected 3 teachers each for 4 parts - In-class Communication, Quality of Education, Education Planning, Digitalization. Thus 12 teachers in total were selected among 520 teachers who had taught in 2020.
After obtaining her doctorate, Dr. Eunae Kim, worked as a Specialist Scholar at Seoul Asan Medical Center, a collaboration professor at the Research Ethics Center, and a research professor at the Ewha Institute for Biomedical Law & Ethics. She has been actively researching clinical trials, human-derived research, legal policies, and international ethical standards.
The Ewha Research Ethics Center was established in 2015 as an independent organization directly under the president. It aims to oversee research misconduct, bioethics, and animal experimental ethics in order to establish a comprehensive management system related to research ethics. Currently, the center is in charge of compliance with research ethics and research-related bioethics issues, while supporting the operation of the Research Truth Committee, Bioethics Committee, Animal Experiment Ethics Committee, and Bioethics Committee. Also, Professor Kim is currently working as a Specialist of the Ewha Research Truth Committee and member of the Bioethics Committee.
