Professor Byunghoon Lee of chemical engineering and materials science from ELTEC college of engineering was selected for the 2020 spring Young Scientist Award by The Polymer Society of Korea .
Polymer Society of Korea’s Young Scientist Award is given to two scholars of outstanding research performance in the field of polymer science and engineering in spring and fall. With the cancellation of the spring symposium, award ceremony will take place on October 7th during the fall general assembly.
Since taking office at Ewha in 2017, Professor Lee has led the polymer material lab, carrying out basic and applied research on property control by adjusting the nano structure of conductive and semi-conductive polymer. He has continuously reported the results to eminent journals in the field of chemistry and material science including Angewandte Chemie International Edition. In addition, he is working on various research projects by expanding the research area to flexible light sensors for healthcare based on organic electric elements.
Profesor Lee expressed his ambition to train next-generation experts in flexible electronic materials and contribute to the research competence of Ewha with in-depth research.
