Center for Child Development and Disability Selected as Outstanding Institution for Social Cooperation in 2019

The Center for Child Development and Disability (Director: Lee Seung-yeon) was selected and awarded as an outstanding institution for Social Cooperation in 2019 by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education on December 17, 2019.

From 2015 through December 2019, the Center for Child Development and Disability has provided free language tests to 1,000 children in 93 educational organizations under the Seoul Western Educational Support Agency; visited low-income families with disabled children and offered educational and family-related support; and provided psychological, emotional and language-related support for children with developmental disability from multicultural families, and parent counseling and education to their parents as well.

Established in 1981, the Center for Child Development and Disability at Ewha has provided specialized examinations and treatments as well as educational programs for children with developmental disability. Also, the center secured the academic excellence and clinical expertise in various aspects of therapy by associating with the Departments of Special Education, Communication Disorders and Psychology, and established a leading position by pursuing transdisciplinary cooperation with therapy areas.
