Tae Hee Kim Professor

Professor Tae Hee Kim is an experimental condensed matter physicist. Her field of specialty is thin film magnetism and nanospintronics. Her research is currently focused on development of new multifunctional spintronic devices as well as characterization of their spin transport properties. She has been a faculty member at the Department of Physics at Ewha Womans University since 2005. Prior to joining Ewha, she received her PhD from University of Strasbourg, France in 1994, then went on to roles as a postdoctoral associate briefly at Rutgers University, and research staff at the Francis Bitter Magnet Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology until 2004. In 2012, she was a visiting scientist at London Centre for Nanotechnology of University College London (UK) and Physics department of University of G ttingen (Germany). Since 2013, she has participated in research of the Institute for Quantum Computing at Waterloo University (Canada) as a visiting scholar. She is a fellow of Korean Magnetics Society and has served as its treasurer from 2007 to 2008. In addition, she is a member of Korean Physical Society, the American Physical Society, and IEEE Magnetics Society.
