Dr. Eunsoo Kim is a faculty member in the Department of Life Sciences and in the Division of EcoScience at Ewha Womans University. Her research focuses on the diversity, evolution, and symbiosis of protists (i.e. all the eukaryotic organisms that are not into animals, plants, or fungi). She obtained her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) and then had research career as a postdoctoral researcher at Dalhousie University (Canada). In 2012, she began her tenure-track faculty appointment in the Division of Invertebrate Zoology at the American Museum of Natural History (NY, USA), tenure promoted in 2017. Since 2022, she started working at Ewha Womans University whilst affiliated with the AMNH as Research Associate and Adjunct Professor.
