Namwon Jang Professor

Art History

Namwon Jang is an associate professor in the Department of Art History, College of Humanities at Ewha Womans University. Prof. Jang is also the dean of the Department of Art History and the head of the Department of University interdisciplinary major Art History. She completed her master's degree and her doctorate in the Department of Art History from Ewha Womans University. Her projects are focused on a wide range of Korean Ceramics and Crafts, and East Asia Ceramics and Crafts as well. She is working as a general affairs director of Art History Association of Korea, an expert adviser of Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea, and a consultant or evaluator in various fields such as museums and excavation sites. She has published approximately 30 articles both in domestic and foreign journals with about 20 books as an author or a co-author.
