Young-Mi Kim Professor Emeritus
Young Mi Kim is Professor in the Department of History at Ewha Woman's University. She received her Ph.D. in History from Ewha Woman's University, with a thesis on the Amithabha Faith in Silla Period. Her major works include Silla Pulgyo Sasangsa-y n’gu (The History of Buddhism of Silla, 1994), and, co-authored Han’guk Sasang-sa Pangp p-non (The Methodology in Study of the Intellectual History of Korea, 1997), The Cultural History of Epidemic: Another Perspective of Kotyo Society(2010), Koryo and Northern Culture(2011), and Korean Buddhist Nuns and Laywomen(2011). She writes largely on the influence of Buddhism on Kory women and the practice of Buddhist nuns, and the interchange of Buddhism between Koryo and Liao.
