Kijoon Chae Professor Emeritus
Prof. Kijoon Chae received his B.S. in Mathematics from Yonsei University, Korea in 1982, He received his M.S. in Computer Science from Syracuse University, and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1984 and 1990, respectively. From 1990 to 1992, he had been an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at United States Naval Academy, USA. Since 1992, he has been at Ewha Womans University, Korea, where he is currently a Professor of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Dean of the Graduate School of Data Science and Division Chair of AI Convergence. At Ewha, he has taken charge of many important roles such as the Dean of the College of Engineering, Vice-Presidents of Office of Admissions and Office of Information and Communications, President of Institute for Graphic Interfaces, the Division Director of Computer & Electronics Engineering, and so on. In addition, he has been directors/vice-presidents/presidents in several technical societies related to computer and communications, network and security areas. He has been Organizing/Program Committee Chairs for many domestic and International Conferences. Prof. Chae’s research interests include network security, network protocol design and performance evaluation. He has published more than 270 technical papers in domestic and international journals and at conferences.
