[Degree-Seeking] 2016-Fall Korean Course (+Level Test)

Korean Language Course (“교양한국어”)

 

 

 

Students are strongly advised to take Korean Language Courses. Students who wish to take Korean Courses have to register for the course during the Course Registration Period above. Please read carefully the following guidelines if you have trouble choosing which course to take.

 

     Registration period is same with other courses. Please read following guidelines to choose your level.

A.     If you have taken Korean Course before at Ewha Language Center within 1 year,

→ Take the next level. (See below table for course level)

 

B.     If you have not taken Korean Course before,

→ you are learning Korean for the first time : <Korean I>

→ you have TOPIK level 1 : <Korean II>

→ you have TOPIK level 2 : <Korean III>

→ you have TOPIK level 3 : <Korean Language and Korean Culture: Introduction>

→ you have TOPIK level 4 : <Academic Korean I>

→ you have TOPIK level 5 : <Academic Korean II>       

 

C.    If you have taken Korean course outside of Ewha Language Center before, but no TOPIK level acquired,

Level Test required (go to next page for details)

 

D.     If you have taken Korean course at Ewha Language Center more than 1 year ago,

Level Test required (go to next page for details)

 

E.     If you hold TOPIK level 6, you cannot register since there is no higher level course available.

    Class will begin at Mon., Sep 5 at each classroom.

 

Placement Test for Korean Language Course

 

 

 

Students who wish to register for Korean Language must confirm if they need to take Placement Test (Level Test).

 

 

    Checkif you are required to take the test.

    Korean Language Placement Test Info

-       Date and Time : 09:00 Aug 30(Tue)   MUST arrive before 08:50.

-       Venue : Lobby, Ewha-Samsung Education Culture Building  * See the map below.

-       You will be informed of your test place at the lobby. Written test will begin at 09:00.

-       Students who finished the written test will conduct oral exam consecutively (10 min.)

 

    After taking the Placement Test,

-       Register for 10997-01 (Morning Class) or 10997-02 (Afternoon Class) during the Course Registration Period.

-       Check for your classroom at Eureka from 17:00, Fri. Sep 2.

 

    If you are required to take the test but do not, and then register for Korean Courses, your registration will be cancelled.





Students who wish to register for "Korean Language Course" must check if you are required to take the level test. If so, then make sure to register for one of the following courses; unless you register, you cannot take the level test which is schedule on August 30.


*Courses to register:

[Undergraduate] Korean (10997-01, for morning class) or Korean (10997-02, for afternoon class)


[Graduate] Korean(G90001-01)


Those who registered above course(s) MUST take the level test.

 -Date: Tuesday August 30 / MUST arrive before 8:50

 -Venue: Lobby, Ewha-Samsung Education Culture Building (Ewha Languace Center)
