The Ewha Graduate School of Theology was founded in 1998 as a nondenominational school of theology for lay and clergy women. Ewha's pioneering role for women's theological education in Korea has continued to provide ministerial formation of women who can serve Christian faith communities as a part of the professional ministry.

In order to prepare women to participate in God's mission in the 21st century, EGST provides an exceptional curriculum to study Biblical Studies, Systematic Theology, Church History, Christian Ethics, Pastoral Counseling, Christian Education, Liturgical Studies, Missiology and Faminist Theology.

The EGST also provides educational opportunities for Asian women who will participate in God's mission as partners in the global context.
