College of Medicine Completes the Opening Ceremony of “Ewha Medical Education Center (EMEC)”

“Paving the way of fostering doctors who will lead the future of medicine”
Ewha Womans University College of Medicine (Dean: Eun Hee Ha) successfully held an opening ceremony for the Ewha Medical Education Center (Head: Wook Bum Pyun). The Ewha Medical Education Center (EMEC) was established to systemically support the practice of the educational ideology of Ewha College of Medicine, which aims to provide a customized curriculum for students and cultivate great convergence talents for the future. The main tasks of EMEC are support for teaching and learning, education for clinical practice, medical education in preparation for future innovation, and performance management of medical education. The center also performs tasks such as research, education, development, and consultation in all fields related to the medical education of Ewha College of Medicine.
The ceremony was held at the Gyerim Hall, located at Magok, followed by a congratulatory speech, a commemorative speech, a welcoming speech, an introduction to the EMEC, and a cake cutting ceremony.
Kyung Ha Ryu, the Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs and the Director of the Ewha Womans University Medical Center, congratulated the opening of the center, saying, "We expect the establishment of the Ewha Medical Education Center will serve as a foundation for fostering doctors and leaders of the future,” adding, “We hope this center will be the successful model for training medical leaders.” Eun Hee Ha, the Dean of the College of Medicine, said, “We hope the Ewha College of Medicine can become the best medical education institute in Korea through the opening of the Ewha Medical Education Center.” Wook Bum Pyun, the Head of the EMEC, said, “We will make sure that the Ewha Medical Education Center contributes to the reputation of Ewha College of Medicine through all-round support in medical education of Ewha.”
