Graduate students of the Preventive Medicine Class of the Graduate School of College of Medicine (System Health & Engineering Convergence major) presented their research called “Mediation Analysis of Inflammation on the Association Between Metabolic Syndrome Score and the Classification of Health-related Behaviours in Adolescents Using Latent Class Analysis – Based on Ewha Birth Cohort” at 47th E-Healthcare Studies Conference hosted in 2022 by The Korea Public Health Association, winning the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) Commissioner’s Award. They also have won the same award in the poster section of the 46th E-Health Science Conference last year.

“We are happy to participate in meaningful research based on the hard work of professors and researchers, and we particularly thank our professors for their guidance,” said Kim Eui-jung and Park Hyun-jin of the BK21 System Health & Engineering Convergence major.

Professor Park Hye-sook of the Preventive Medicine Class established the Ewha Infant Growth Cohort and has been monitoring it for about 20 years until now, continuing to conduct various studies based on the theme of how foetal growth affects disease susceptibility after birth.
