the theme of 'Identity of Education Engineering'... an online exhibition in line with the contactless era

On August 28 and 29, the “54th ET (Educational Technology Exhibition) Exhibition” was held at the ECC Daesan Gallery. Marking its 54th anniversary this year, "ET Exhibition", an educational event in which undergraduates from the Department of Educational Technology teamed up to display the results of their research on designing and developing various education programs, has become a representative exhibition of the department. This year, to comply with the social distance guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the pre-booking system was introduced to minimize the number of the visitors. In addition, the exhibition was successfully held with the utmost care for prevention and safety by checking the body temperatures of visitors and sanitizing the exhibition gallery every hour.

Under the slogan "Identity," visitors could enjoy various works that gave a glimpse into students' thoughts, and concerns about the education engineering at the 54th ET Exhibition has prepared. The exhibition consisted of results that show original and creative ideas of various classes such as the LID(Learning & Instruction Design), the RND(Research & Development), and the HRD(Human Resource Development). Through the screening of the departmental professors, the best work was selected from each team. From the LID class, ‘See Sea’(an application for zero-waste training for sustainable ocean), from the RND class, ‘EXIT’(a disaster safety education program for middle school students), from the HRD team, a team that analyzed the beverage ordering system of the co-op in the Education Building and suggested an improved system was selected as the best work.

In addition, various zones of the exhibition showed the identity of education engineering, such as the CHALLENGE ZONE (exhibition of cases that undergraduates have shown their significant capabilities over the past year in domestic and overseas exploration projects and contests), MAKE & PLAY ZONE (a special zone for experiencing Edu Tech and advanced ‘Maker Education’ of the department), and several other zones for best class assignments).

This year, due to COVId-19, an online VR exhibition that embodies offline exhibitions in virtual space was also held. The VR exhibition is supported and sponsored by Lee Don-ah (entered the Department of Educational Technology in '86), CEO of Art & Communication, who is working as a multimedia artist. The exhibition is open to the public (https://www.vehindesign.com/3Dexhibition/EWHA54ET) for a month from August 28 to September 28.
